Arini is the daughter of Benny Subianto, the Indonesian tycoon who founded Persada Capital Investama. When Benny died in 2017, Arini took over the running of the company herself. Prior to that, she ran her own furniture and gift shop in Jakarta, which she merged with the next door bookstore run by a friend from middle school.

As president of the family holding company, she is responsible for its investments in coal, palm oil and wood processing products, and she also has a 11% stake in Adara Energy.
