Husain Djojonegoro was born in Semarang the son of Chandra Djojonegoro who, with his brother (Husain’s uncle) formed the Orang Tua Group in 1948. Originally, it produced herbal tea and drinks, but when the two original owners passed away, Husain and his two brothers took over. They have extended the firms product range to include food and beverages such as vitamin flavoured tea, jagak herbal drink and Chizmill wafer.

Husain also runs ABC Group with Pudjiono his brother, producing ABC batteries and the YOU health drink and Kratingdaeng energy drink. Additionally, he is the President Director of PT International Chemical Industrial (Intercalin), a company he set up in 1968.
