Val Yap Biography
Val Yap’s success can be described as anything but overnight. The Singaporean studied in London from 2009 until 2012, graduating from the University of the Arts London with a first class BA Honors degree in Digital Media Design. She followed that up with an MSc in Business Management from Imperial College London before graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Future of Fintech.
She had risen to Vice President at OCBC Bank before she became frustrated trying to help a sick relative navigate through the myriad of insurance policies online. She decided to do something about it and founded PolicyPal. It is a free app, giving users the ability to search, organize and manage their insurance policies all in one easy to use dashboard.
