Lin Chang Su-O is the widow of Lin Rong San, who was an incredibly successful real estate developer. His Union Enterprise Construction Co. focussed primarily on Northern Taiwan meant he left $4.2 billion in his will. Lin Chang Su-O is now the chairman of the business which is entirely owned by members of his family.

Her children are also heavily involved in her late husband’s businesses. Jeff, their eldest son heads the Union Bank of Taiwan, the publicly traded bank Lin Rong San founded. Andy Lin, the second eldest son is in charge of the family’s media concerns, including the Taipei Times and Liberty Times. Kevin their youngest son runs RSL Corp.
