Scott Lin Biography
Born in 1933, Scott Lin graduated from National Chung Hsing University with a Bachelor of Arts/Science. He founded Largan Optronic in 1969, then after a considerable investment founded, along with Tony Chen, Largan Precision in 1987.
Largan is a world leader in its field today. In 2016 the company sold more than six and a half billion optical components. Today, it gets more than a third of its revenue from Apple, for whom it supplies 90% of the company’s rear lenses for its iPhones.
Scott Lin has two sons, Adam and En-Chou who together run Largan Precision.
