T.Y. Tsai Biography
T.Y. Tsai is one of the three sons of Tsai Wan-lin who built Cathay Financial Holdings and before that Cathay Life into the huge success it became, becoming Taiwan’s richest man in the process. T.Y. attained a Bachelor of Arts/Science at Tokai University and an EMBA from National Taiwan University.
Tsai Wan-lin died in 2004, and T.Y. Tsai, along with his brothers Tsai Cheng-ta and Tsai Hong-tu inherited his shares. In 2010 T.Y. sold his shares to his brothers and set up Homax Equity, through which he invests in real estate.
T.Y. is a keen collector or art and automobiles.
