Tsai Cheng-ta Biography
Tsai Cheng-ta is the son of Tsai Wan-lin, who as a result of Cathay Financial Holdings was the richest man in Taiwan before he died in 2004. Tsai Cheng-ta, along with his brothers T.Y. Tsai and Tsai Hong-tu inherited shares in the company. Both brothers are also billionaires, though T.Y. sold his stake in the company several years ago.
Tsai Cheng-ta is on the Cathay Financial Holdings board and also has ties, like the rest of the family with Cathay Real Estate, a property developer based in Taiwan.
